General music is an academic based class that focuses on the fundamentals of many different aspects of music. Students will learn how to play various instruments, (Not instruments taught in Band or Orchestra) sing songs, how to read and write music, music history, and explore other qualities of music. Because this class is academic and not performance based. Students who choose this course will have homework, just like other core subjects.
