Students in 6th-8th grade choir will learn to sing a wide variety of songs from different genres, as well as songs from many different cultures around the world. Additionally, students also help select the music for our end of the year concert. Students in choir usually sing in 4 different parts. These parts are Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass. The two highest parts are Soprano and Alto. The two lower parts are Tenor and Bass. Some songs only have two parts that sing together, and other songs have as many as 8 parts all singing together. In choir there is no such thing as a bad singer, just a singer that is learning to control their voice. If you enjoy singing, you will have the opportunity to improve your voice and sing fun music with friends. Our goal is to get better as singers and to have fun making music together.
