How can I help my child be more successful in school?
This is a teacher's favorite question and always a great way to start a conversation. In the meantime: * Establish routines/schedules at home. * Have a place where your child can do their homework and ask them if they have any-every day. * Have a conversation with your child about their day. Ask them what was their favorite thing they learned today? * Read, read, read....a picture book, a magazine, an e-device, a page in a chapter book, the billboards on the way home--reading is so important to your child's success...please read with and encourage your child to read. * Stress the positives of school, being in school, and learning overall.
What if I need to pick up my child early?
Please send a note and/or write in your child's agenda the time he/she needs to be in the office. If calling, please call by 9AM and no later than 2PM so we can let teachers know in a timely fashion.
What do I do if my child is absent/late?
Please call the office at 715-424-6793 as soon as possible. If late, please call the office 715-424-6793. Reminder: Consistent attendance is important to your child's success-Students who miss more than 10 days of school during a year fall into the state’s mandatory attendance policy and may be considered truant.
What will my child be learning about?
Your child will participate in a wide range of collaborative learning opportunities, along with individual activities designed to strengthen your child's learning skills and abilities. Please contact your child's teacher(s) to learn more. (Another favorite question of teachers and a great way to start a conversation.)
Will my child go on field trips?
Possibly. Your child will be notified prior to the trip and will need to fill out a field trip form prior to the trip in order to attend.
What if I have a concern about something my child told me?
Ask us! Contact your child's teacher--two way communication is so important to the success of your child. These and other topics are addressed in further detail on this website.
