Conscious Discipline is a comprehensive social and emotional intelligence classroom management program based on current brain research. Responsive Classroom strategies are used to create a learning environment that brings academic and social learning together to help children develop positive social skills and responsible community membership.
2. Brain-Based Learning
Staff at THINK Academy teach with the brain in mind! We strive to engage students in purposeful learning strategies that align with the way the brain is naturally designed to learn. We base our work on principles derived from neuroscience research.
3. Professional Learning Communities
Staff at THINK Academy identify essential learning outcomes, assessments, and interventions based on state and national standards. We use student data to inform our decisions about how best to differentiate to meet the needs of all our students. Regular collaboration time is provided for teachers to analyze data and plan lessons that meet these varied needs.
