The FALL SHOW - LHS Theatre Dept
THE ART OF BEING VAGUE by Peter Bloedel
A one act comedy, "Colby learns from a young age that he can find success by being vague with the people in his life. Colby’s “art" of being vague continues to grow throughout his life as he convinces his classmates he’s cool, persuades an interviewer he’s best for the job, and rises to the top of the top. Although this seemingly fantastic art initially brings him great success, it ultimately comes at the expense of an unsatisfactory life." ~Stage Partners
Excited to be part of something great this year? THE ART OF BEING VAGUE is our fall show that will be entered into the One Act Play Festival. This is a celebrated program where Wisconsin high schools prepare and present a play no longer than 40 minutes. Schools who advance at the district and sectional levels qualify to perform at the Wisconsin Interscholastic Theatre Festival in mid-November.
Performance dates are Friday, Oct 20 & Saturday, Oct 21 at 7:00pm! Tickets are general seating at $3 or 2 tickets for $5 - click here for advance online tickets or get them at the door. We are entering this 40 min one act show into the One Act Competition in hopes of advancing to the State Theatre Festival in November.
Theatre Thrift Sale!
Help our way to State! Starting at 6pm before each performance - our North Lobby will contain goods to be sold! We cleaned out our costumes, prop shop, and script library - all for YOU to buy! Thursday, September 14th, 2023
Please choose ONE of those days to audition. All auditions are closed auditions and are cold readings. Excerpts of readings will be available before you audition. The scenes to read from will be available outside of the Green Room after school on both audition days. Our stage managers will be there to assist you. No need to sign up - just show up! The order of auditions are first come, first serve. If you need to leave early, let our stage manger(s) know.
A kind reminder - When you audition, you audition for the whole play, not just a role. Just because you read for a role doesn't mean that you are auditioning for that role. These scenes are just to hear your voice and see you act. Choose a scene that you feel comfortable with.
