Hello Howe Community!
I am so proud to be the principal of Howe Elementary School. We are a community of learners who nurture academic and social success for ALL learners, building a strong, respectful Howe community with students, families, and staff. This means we strive for academic excellence and fully support the whole child in becoming their best selves—what a gift to work with your children every day.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and German Education from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. I continued my education with a Masters Degree in Professional Development from the University of Wisconsin LaCrosse, my administration certificate from Viterbo University, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher. My goal was to be the best teacher I could be to be the best school leader that I could be.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids. I attended Children’s Choice, Washington, East Junior High, and then Lincoln High School. After college, I started my career with WRPS. In my early days, I taught second grade at Mead Elementary. I have had many great experiences during my career, which helped shape me into a well-rounded educator. Through my 16 years at Mead, I was the Charter Grant School Coordinator and held various professional development roles as well as a behavioral interventionist. Since 2016, I have been the Howe Elementary Principal, the best job in the world.
My husband and I have two teenage children who attend WRPS Schools. Some of the things we like to do together are travel, go camping as much as we can, and enjoy the great outdoors.
One of our Howe Mantras is “One School, One Voice, Howe Family.” We invite you to be a part of our Howe family. I invite you to contact me at tina.miller@wrps.net or my office, 715-424-6772 if you have any questions or would like to learn more about our Howe Family!
