Teacher - Business Education Email Phone: (715) 424-6750 X4060 Twitter: @LHSMARKETING Facebook: Rapids DECA My name is Ashley Tessmer and I am a Marketing and Business teacher at Lincoln High School (LHS). I graduated from Onalaska High School in 2002. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Stout (UW-Stout) in 2006, majoring in Marketing and Business Education with a minor in Business Administration. I earned my Master's Degree in Education from UW-Stout in 2010. In 2021, I also finished a Master of Science in Education in Educational Administration from UW-Superior. During the 2018-2019 school year, I was the recipient of a Herb Kohl Teacher Fellowship Award.
I started my career with Wisconsin Rapids Public Schools (WRPS) in 2007 where I traveled between West Junior High School (now WRAMS), East Junior High School (EJH), and LHS. Since 2008, my traveling days are behind me and I call Lincoln home where I teach Introduction to Marketing, Principles of Marketing, Business Communications, Sports and Entertainment Marketing, Starting A Small Business, and Marketing and Business Work Experience Supervision. In addition to teaching various Marketing and Business courses at LHS, I also serve as a DECA and Prom Advisor, oversee The Wolf Den (school store), and sit on a variety of building committees. In addition, I work for Wisconsin DECA through the Department of Public Instruction as one of the Facilities Directors for the State Career Development Conference and as a member of the Wisconsin DECA Board. In 2018, I was recognized as a DECA Red Apple Advisor of the Year. I was also awarded DECA's Outstanding Chapter Advisor of the year in March of 2020.
I look forward to working with both students and staff this school year through both classroom and co-curricular experiences. I encourage you to contact me with any thoughts, questions, or concerns via the contact information found above.
