Hello - I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself:
My name is Lisa Borre and I teach Four-Year-Old Kindergarten(4K) for WRPS. I have been teaching 4K for 18 years. Previously I taught 5K at St Lawrence Early Childhood Center and 5K at Plover Whiting. I have an Early Childhood Degree from the University of Stevens Point and a Masters Degree in Education from St Mary’s University of Minnesota.
I live in Wisconsin Rapids with my husband Bill who works at the United States Post Office. We have been married for 38 years. We have three grown children Eric (a History teacher at West Salem HS and Hockey coach) Shaun (a nurse at Gunderson Hospital in LaCrosse and Hockey coach)) and Alicia (Global Compensation HR at OshKosh Corp) They have been lucky to have many great teachers here at WRPS!
I have one grandchild Kendall who just turned 2 years old. She is beautiful and amazing!
I really want a dog but at this time I do not have any pets! I do have a grandpuppy Maya who we love to babysit when we can!
I absolutely love working with young children! They are so much fun!I I find that their curiosity and enthusiasm for school to be very exciting and motivating!
4K is a play based program. The benefits of play for our youngest learners are numerous. Through play, children GROW and develop a basis for all future learning and academic achievements. As they interact with others, children develop social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills. Learning in 4K is FUN, EXCITING, and less like work! The students are learning all the time through their play and they do not even realize it!
In my spare time I like to read (I have a collection of every single Danielle Steele Romance novel)and I am also learning to golf!
